Media INK is the only Somali Media Development Organization (NGO) active in a Somalia. In a region in turmoil, where freedom of expression and access to reliable information is limited, Media INK endeavors to build basic infrastructure of reliable, trustworthy and accountable media landscape. Media INK's effectiveness comes from the presence on the ground, connection with major stakeholders (both governmental and non governmental as well as national and international).
Media INK is based in Hargeisa as is active throughout the different parts of Somalia. As the director of Programmes, I'm responsible for all the activities of MediaINK and therefor very knowledgeable on the regional development.
