The Gabriel García Márquez Journalism Foundation (FNPI) launched Gabriel García Márquez Journalism Award in 2013. In four years it has become one of the most prestigious awards in the region and has received around six thousand applications so far. One of the categories of the Award is "Innovation", which received around 600 applications from all Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. What do those 600 works say about journalism in Latin America? Ricardo Corredor, FNPI´s executive director will share the results of an analysis of that database.
