Jens started his journalistic carrer at Radio France International in Paris. After completion of an MBA degree in Media Management, he continued working for the European TV-channel ARTE. In 2009 he entered the media-development sector, managing a panafricain media project for Free Voice and World Press Photo. Since then, Jens worked for the Africa desk of Radio Netherlands International and managed international post-production processes for Columbia Pictures Int. before joining the Free Pree Unlimited as Coordinator for programmes in Somalia, Mali, CAR and DR Congo.
