Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
National Project Coordinator- Corruption Prevention Component
Bangladesh
I have been working with GIZ for 10 years in various projects. Currently, I am leading the Corruption Prevention component of the Justice and Prison Reform for promoting human rights and preventing corruption in Bangladesh . I completed my Master’s in Political science in 1978 and also did a Post-Graduation Diploma in the UK in 1997. After completion of my Masters, I joined “Mohila Parishad” to pursue my dreams of empowering women and inspiring others to follow the difficult but blissful road to freedom. I have started my career from the grass-root level of the developing sector of the country. People say I have played an active very important role during the formulation of “Women’s Development Policy” and the “Domestic Violence Act 2010”. I have attended various international conferences like the International Women’s Conference in Beijing’95 and Follow-up Meeting in United Nations in 2000 and 2005. I have received specialized training's on Human Rights, Gender, Stakeholders Dialogue and advocacy.
