Athens Zaw Zaw, Myanmar, is a correspondent for the Agence France-Presse (AFP). Prior to joining AFP he has worked as an online editor for Eleven Media Group, one of the biggest media groups in Myanmar. He has also worked as a journalist for the Swe Sone Media Group and the Wati Media Group. He has a Diploma in Communication, Journalism and Related Programs from the Myanmar Journalism Institute and as a professional journalist as well as one of the first graduates of the Institute is ideally placed to provide insight on Myanmar’s changing media landscape and what it needs to develop media institutions in a new era of government.
