Dr. Harinder Pal Singh Kalra is Professor in Department of Library and Information Science (LIS) at Punjabi University, Patiala (India). He has 23 years experience in teaching & research, and practice of librarianship and information work. He has taught various courses in LIS including Information, Communication, and Society; Information and Literature Survey in Social Sciences; Reference & Information Sources and Services; and Knowledge Organization & Information Processing. He has contributed about 50 publications including articles, research papers, and book reviews in national and international peer-reviewed journals, and seminar and conference papers. He has been associated with Editorial Boards of journals and conference publications. He is Vice Chair of International Steering Committee of UNESCO-facilitated Global Alliance for Partnerships on Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL).
