Executive Director
Ricardo Corredor, Colombia, is the Executive Director of the Gabriel García Márquez New Journalism Foundation (Fundación Gabriel García Márquez para el Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano - FNPI), a Latin American non profit organization based in Cartagena, Colombia, founded by Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez. Ricardo has a long experience working on issues related to media and journalism for development in Latin America, having worked with civil society organizations from Brazil (AVINA Foundation, ANDI News Agency for Children’s Rights), Colombia (Fundación Social) and the United States (Lutheran World Relief). He holds a degree from Javeriana University in Bogota and did his Master of Arts in Media Studies from The New School University in New York City on a Fulbright Scholarship.
